Gustav Reyes

Featured Chicago Designer, MCA Store 2017

Gustav Reyes makes wooden jewelry in his Pilsen studio from salvaged wood that has been modified at a molecular level allowing him to shape each piece like wet spaghetti. The cherry, walnut, and oak pieces are often dyed using “bogwater” (metal and water) and then dried to keep their shape and color.
