Multiformity presents a remarkable selection of new and never-before-shown works from the MCA’s collection of artists’ books and multiples. It explores the various forms multiples take, including the 1993 Sculpture Chicago Culture in Action boxed multiple featuring artists such as Mark Dion, Suzanne Lacy, and Iñigo Manglano-Ovalle. Exhibition catalogues and documents by individuals are also featured, such as the “do-it-yourself” set of nesting boxes designed by Jorge Pardo for his 1996 solo exhibition at the MCA.

Multiformity is organized by MCA Curator Lynne Warren and Curatorial Coordinator Tricia Van Eck.
