This exhibition featured more than 120 works and several of Laszlo Moholy-Nagy‘s films.

It was organized by the MCA’s first director, Jan van der Marck, with the cooperation of the Guggenheim Museum, and with the support of a grant from the Graham Foundation. The exhibition debuted at the MCA before traveling to the Santa Barbara Museum of Art, the University Art Museum at the University of California at Berkeley, the Seattle Art Museum, and the Guggenheim Museum.
