Over the last decade, dance makers, advocates, and scholars have queried the economics and ethics of performance infrastructures. Leslie Cuyjet’s For All Your Life is one such work, and on the occasion of her MCA presentation, local arts leaders and scholars join her in conversation on financial transparency, the value of dance labor, and the dynamics of the nonprofit ecosystem. Panelists include Lizzie Leopold, Assistant Professor of Arts Administration and Policy (SAIC), Nadine George-Graves, Pollard Professor of Theatre and Performance Studies (Northwestern U), and Joey Orr, Deputy Director and Chief of Curatorial Affairs (MCA Chicago).
