Join Chicago-based performance artist Joseph Lefthand for a sharing session exploring the concepts of grief, repair, and renewal. The event begins with an introduction to Lefthand’s performance and research practice and participants are invited to join them in the Commons to exchange ideas around personal and cultural expressions of reparation. The evening concludes with a work-in-progress performance by Lefthand, followed by an open circle where people may share and reflect together.

About the Artist

Joseph Lefthand is a performance artist based in Chicago. Descended from the Cheyenne-Arapaho, Taos, and Zuni tribes, and American settlers, Lefthand’s current work takes an integrative approach to these entwined realities, creating experiential events that invite audience members to imagine unsettlement, harmony, reparation, and care.
