Heinz Holliger – Contemporary Concerts, Inc., presented Swiss virtuoso oboist and avant-garde composer, Heinz Holliger, in his only United States appearance this season. Recognized as the leading exponent of contemporary music for his instrument, Holliger performed Chicago premieres of works for oboe and electronic sources by Globokar and Stockhausen, and Berio’s Sequenza VII composed for the soloist.

With the launch of this website, the MCA has created a platform for archiving and publishing images and stories from our 50-plus-year history.
