Jim Nutt at MCA Chicago

Since 1990, Jim Nutt has focused exclusively on female heads in spare line drawings and rich, detailed paintings. Lynne Warren, curator of Jim Nutt: Coming Into Character, and artist Gladys Nilsson discuss the trajectory of his artwork in this video created for the exhibition.

A white form surrounded by fuzzy pink against a background of diagonal pattern of lines starting with a thin band of red, which increases with each color, green, yellow, and ending with a thick band goldenrod, that repeats. The white form has drawings of different things in it.
