Acclaimed rapbrarian (rapping librarian) Roy Kinsey shares new material as he develops his next album, seeking feedback from assembled audience members. Kinsey's work combines deft musicianship and performance to share personal narrative. His 2018 album Blackie: A Story by Roy Kinsey, explores the lives and histories of descendants of the Great Migration, considering three generations of lived experience.

In Progress is a series of public programs designed to give artists, thinkers, and curators a platform for developing new works, and to give patrons a glimpse into the creative process. In Progress is organized by Curator January Parkos Arnall and Assistant Curator Christy LeMaster with the Performance and Public Practice teams.
