Tuesdays on the Terrace George Freeman

Announcement

Tuesdays are always FREE for Illinois residents.

About

George Freeman, the youngest of the famous Freeman brothers, is an accomplished artist within the idiom of jazz.

Freeman was a student of Captain Walter Dyett, who also taught Johnny Griffin, Johnny Hartman, Gene Ammons, and many others. He has performed with the legends of jazz: Charlie Parker, Ben Webster, Jimmy McGriff, Richard "groove" Holmes, Gene Ammons, Illinois Jacquet, and Stan Getz.

In case of rain, the event takes place inside the MCA’s Kovler Atrium.

Our annual summer performance series highlights artists from Chicago’s internationally renowned jazz community.
