Want to know more about what's on view? Docents give free daily tours of the museum's exhibitions. Tours meet at the second-floor admissions desk and last about 45 minutes.

Noon, 1, 2, and 3 pm
Local artist guides bring unique perspectives to the exhibitions on view.
Tours last 45–60 minutes and emphasize discovery, interpretation, and conversation. To ensure an intimate experience, groups exceeding 20 guests will be split and a second guide will be booked (this will not affect the cost of your tour). To book your private, guided tour, please fill out the reservation request form. For questions regarding your tour, please call 312-397-3898 or email [email protected].
A $75 guide fee is charged for groups of 12 or fewer, plus individual admission fees (adults $12; seniors and students $7). Groups of 13 or more are charged per person (adults $18; seniors $14; students $12).*
*Tour fees include the cost of museum admission for the entire day, allowing you to spend time at the museum before or after your artist-guided tour. Please make your tour request at least one month prior. All tours must be fully paid two weeks in advance. Payment for private guided tours is nonrefundable and nontransferable. Members and other admission agreement holders do not receive additional discounts.
