During the run of Laurie Simmons: Big Camera/Little Camera, and in honor of Simmons's work to expose inequality across lines of gender, sexuality, and race, the MCA is offering $12 suggested admission to any visitor who has been affected by the pay gap. Twelve dollars is approximately 81% of our standard $15 suggested general admission price and represents the average pay gap that women experience in the United States. This percentage was determined using data from the Institute for Women's Policy Research. The MCA is free for youth 18 and under, and visitors can always enjoy suggested general admission.

Call us at 312-280-2660 or email [email protected] to learn about other special offers and discounts as well as partnerships with universities, corporations, and other organizations that include free admission.

Admission is valid all day. Feel free to come and go as you please, just make sure to save your receipt and admission tab.

Museums for All

We believe art should be accessible to everyone. Your admission fee supports our exhibitions and programs. But to encourage more people to visit and visit often, the MCA has a pay-what-you-can policy—no one will be turned away.

We also offer suggested admission of $3 each for up to six individuals when visitors present their LINK (EBT) Card as part of the Museums for All program.

The MCA is a proud participant in the Museums for All program, another way to increase access to the museum. Museums for All is a cooperative initiative between ACM and IMLS that encourages families of all backgrounds to visit museums regularly and build lifelong museum habits. By removing the financial barrier, Museums for All also removes the social and academic barrier children face when they are not exposed to high-quality museum experiences.
