The MCA’s Teen Creative Agency (TCA) hosts the Mutant Salon, an afternoon of interactive costume-making and conversation. Examine the ways we express, disguise, and transform ourselves. Explore how artists use costuming for ritual, celebration, and identify formation.
TCA is made up of 25 curious, creative, committed young people, age 15 to 19, who meet at the MCA every Saturday for two years. Immersing themselves in the museum in order to build a generation of connected, creative collaborators. They present exciting, critical, and creative programs including the Living Room, monthly pop-up experiences for their peers and the general public.
The Elizabeth Morse Charitable Trust is the generous sponsor of Teen Creative Agency. Major support is provided by Exelon. Additional support is provided by Lewis S. and Anne Neri Kostiner, and Luminarts Cultural Foundation at the Union League Club of Chicago.
