Alexis Lombre is a teenage professional jazz pianist who is making her way onto the jazz scene. Raised on Chicago’s South Side, she discovered early that the true essence of music is not only about what you hear but, more importantly how music makes you feel. Consequently, she believes that her musical mission is to keep the "Soul" in music alive. In addition to performing professionally around Chicago, Kansas City, St. Louis, New York City, and Detroit, Lombre currently studies with former Jazz Messenger and legendary pianist, Benny Green, at the University of Michigan.

Tuesdays on the Terrace

Performances occur every Tuesday, June–September, from 5:30–8 pm, and are hosted by Al Carter-Bey with Richton Guy Thomas, from WHPK 88.5 FM, University of Chicago.

Dine on our terrace and enjoy a buffet, which features a changing menu of themed dishes using fresh, locally grown produce from the SOAR Farmers Market. Reserve a table by calling 312-397-3805. The buffet is $27 per person.

For a more impromptu evening, open seating is available on our terrace or bring a blanket to relax on the lawn. Food may be purchased from our outdoor grill along with cold beverages, wine, and seasonal cocktails from the bar in the sculpture garden.

Sorry, outside food and beverages are not allowed.

In case of rain, the event takes place inside the MCA Café.
