"Linear time is a western invention; time is not linear, it is a marvellous entanglement where, at any moment, points can be chosen and solutions invented, without beginning or end."

About the Exhibition

The MCA is proud to present award-winning filmmaker Isaac Julien's Lina Bo Bardi – A Marvellous Entanglement. The three-screen video installation is a non-narrative examination of Lina Bo Bardi's cultural and architectural influence as a prolific architect, designer, editor, and curator. Featuring seven different buildings by Bo Bardi activated by dancers and actors, the fantastical artwork brings to life the ideas, works, and creations of Bo Bardi, underscoring her continued influence on contemporary artists.

Lina Bo Bardi – A Marvellous Entanglement is organized by Carla Acevedo-Yates, Marilyn and Larry Fields Curator, and Iris Colburn, Curatorial Assistant. The exhibition is presented in the Turner Gallery on the fourth floor. The runtime is 38 minutes.
