Coming Together

About

In the Robert B. & Beatrice C. Mayer Education Center a new installation, Coming Together, is the result of a collaborative residency with artists from two innovative art programs designed by and in solidarity with people with developmental disabilities: the Little City Foundation Multi-Disciplinary Arts Center in Palatine, Illinois, and Die Schlumper in Hamburg, Germany. With inspiration from the architecture of the MCA building and works in the Collection, the artists created a unique, site-specific work that reflects a diversity of individual approaches while maintaining an overall integrity.

The installation complements an exhibition at the Chicago Cultural Center on view October 18 to December 29, 2002.
