About
Artist Fereshteh Toosi guides participants in creating their own edible gardens on the MCA's Anne and John Kern Terrace. Due to a limited number of garden kits, participation in this workshop is limited to 30 people. To guarantee a spot, please register online. A waiting list will be available onsite the day of the event. This program is in association with Commons Artist Project: Joan Giroux.
About the Artist
Fereshteh Toosi’s cross-disciplinary work involves embodied experiences, encounter, exchange, and sensory inquiry. She is an active member of the Association of Forest and Nature Therapy Guides and the American Horticultural Therapy Association. She studied at Oberlin College and Carnegie Mellon University, where she received an MFA in interdisciplinary art. She also holds a certificate in Environmental Urban Design from Archeworks in Chicago. Toosi is currently an assistant professor in the Art and Art History Department of the College of Communication, Architecture, and the Arts at Florida International University.
