ABOUT THE EXHIBITION

Elegantly wrought from commonplace materials, Doris Salcedo's sculptures and installations bear witness in startling ways to the aftermath of brutality and trauma in the modern world. This comprehensive retrospective of her work pays homage to her thirty-year career, featuring all major bodies of work—most of which have never been shown together before—as well as the US debut of her recent major work Plegaria Muda(2008–10) and her newest body of work, Disremembered (2014).

Funding

artsmart is made possible with support from the MCA Women’s Board.
