About
Contribute to the visibility of visual artists of the African Diaspora with the Black Lunch Table (BLT). An ongoing collaboration between artists Heather Hart and Jina Valentine, BLT hosts a Wikipedia edit-a-thon that begins with a training session for participants, and assistance is provided throughout the event.
Chicago-based photographer Ireashia Bennet is the featured photographer for the Black Lunch Table WikiCommons photobooth. Stop by for a free portrait and stay to edit Wikipedia.
This program takes place in the Commons on the museum’s second floor. All writing levels welcome. Participants should bring a laptop; power and snacks provided.
Workshops in the Commons are coauthored and designed by Chicago community groups and the MCA’s Partnerships and Engagement Liaison Gibran Villalobos.
