Let’s Build a Garden City

This is the first Let’s Build Garden City (LBGC) program of the year. LBGC is a service learning platform teaching students and members of the community how to transform vacant spaces in their neighborhoods into community gardens. Plus Sign, a former Chicago Public Schools student, launched Let’s Build a Garden City in spring 2018.

This event will have a colorful presentation featuring local educators and guest speakers from Advocates for Urban Agriculture (auachicago.org), Grow-Op Chicago (patreon.com/growopchicago), and more. In addition to nutritional education and institutional connections, LBGC gives young people the tools to maintain strong community relationships as they grow their service learning projects.
