Theaster Gates and Kerry James Marshall in Conversation

About

Join Theaster Gates and Kerry James Marshall for a two-hour discussion that connects the professional creative practices of artists and acts of education that happen outside of the classroom. How do artists instigate learning through their art making process? What can educators learn from this way of teaching?

The Educator Salon at the MCA is a forum for educators who seek a different type of professional development experience. Salons engage teachers in explorations of timely pedagogical issues, provide access to provocative speakers, and promote an open exchange among peers and colleagues.

MCA teacher programs are free. Participants receive CPDUs. Vouchers for free parking in the MCA garage are provided pending availability.
