Eija-Liisa Ahtila, a Finnish artist and filmmaker, is the Finnish representative to this year’s Venice Biennale. Her work, which has recently come to prominence in exhibitions such as Manifesta 2, emulates the quick pace of television commercials and music videos, yet presents unsettling and psychologically penetrating glimpses into the human condition. The exhibition features the short films Me/We; Okay; Gray; and Today, all presented on video. Me/We is a 90-second work that presents absurd episodes within a nuclear family.
This exhibition is curated by Associate Curator Dominic Molon.
