American Sign Language Tour: Duro Olowu: Seeing Chicago

About

Join us for an American Sign Language (ASL) tour of Duro Olowu: Seeing Chicago led by Jennifer Eskridge-Hart. Please meet at the 2nd-floor admissions desk.

In Duro Olowu: Seeing Chicago, designer Duro Olowu turns his cosmopolitan eye to Chicago. Drawing from the city's public and private art collections including works in the MCA's collection, Olowu curates a show that reimagines relationships between artists and objects across time, media, and geography. Moving away from traditional exhibition formats, Olowu combines photographs, paintings, sculptures, and films in dense and textural scenes that incorporate his own work.

This event is designed for the deaf community and is led entirely in American Sign Language (ASL). Spoken English interpretation is not provided. The MCA offers English-language, docent-led tours daily and a Spanish-language, docent-led tour on the first Sunday of every month.

Live interpretation events are organized by Meagan Burger, Manager of Adult Learning Programs.
