About
Vik Muniz was born in São Paulo, Brazil, in 1961, and has lived and worked in New York City since the mid-1980s. He began his career as a sculptor, eventually turning primarily to photography. He has had solo exhibitions at The Menil Collection, the 49th Venice Biennale, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the International Center of Photography, New York.
