Collegium Vocale Cologne
Stimmung
Collegium Vocale Cologne performs Karlheinz Stockhausen's Stimmunq for the first time in Chicago. Stockhausen trained this group in an entirely new vocal technique, which represents the first major revolution in singing since the invention of polyphone. The music itself was based on the various magical names for God across the many cultures of the world, and its performance evokes a profound, mystical aura.
