About
Alejandro T. Acierto is an artist and musician working primarily in time-based media. His work reflects on themes of belonging through an investigation of communicative technologies, resonant bodies, and media archaeologies. A founding member of Chicago-based contemporary classical ensemble Dal Niente, he was awarded the Kranichsteiner Music Prize for Interpretation at the International Summer Courses for New Music in Darmstadt and he has shown in group and solo exhibitions across the US. Acierto received his undergraduate degree from DePaul University, a master's in music from Manhattan School of Music, and an MFA in new media arts from University of Illinois at Chicago.
