The MCA Café is closed for construction.
A temporary café is currently available in the Lefkofsky Family Lobby on the second floor. During museum hours coffee, pastries, and other beverages—as well as Farmer’s Fridge takeout items—are available for purchase.
Each Tuesday, from 11:30 am–1:30 pm, the MCA hosts a new pop-up restaurant from the Chicago area. Sign up to be notified who's coming each week.
About Our Redesign
Coming in 2017, a world-class creative team will reimagine many of the MCA’s public spaces and the museum’s dining experience as part of an architectural redesign of the building led by the Los Angeles architects Sharon Johnston and Mark Lee of Johnston Marklee. Turner Prize–winning British painter Chris Ofili will create the restaurant environment; Chicago chef Jason Hammel will be the head chef of the restaurant; and Mexican design duo Pedro y Juana will design the Commons, a new social engagement space.
