About

The Chicago Dancing Festival, which engages broad audiences with the evocative and diverse landscape of American dance, is crowning its 10th year this summer. Spanning four days, this singular dance event is free to the public and the vision of its founders, choreographer Lar Lubovitch and dancer Jay Franke.

As part of the city-wide festival, the MCA hosts the distinctive companies of choreographers Aszure Barton, Joshua Beamish, Brian Brooks, Rashaun Mitchell + Silas Riener, and Rennie Harris, performing works designed for males that explore the moving body’s full expressiveness and gestural possibilities.
