Terence Hannum's film Evocation captures a recent Chicago performance of the band SunnO))), which plays low frequency, droning guitar chords at an extremely loud volume. The film reconstructs the band's eerie smoke-lit stage presence, its overwhelming auditory experience, and the crowd's reaction.
As part of his exhibition, Terence Hannum has curated a selection of Chicago bands to perform at the MCA on the following Tuesdays at 6 pm:
